Compassion to Passion
The KEY to a passionate life is Self-Compassion. I'm convinced.
“Self -Compasstion starts with being kind to ourselves, allowing ourselves to come to understand ourselves,” says Pam.
It begins with mindfully breathing in and slowly exhaling - in THIS moment.

Last month I was offered a challenge for my coaching.
Offer 70 coaching sessions for my 70th birthday.
My birthday is January 31st and counting backwards for 70 days,I came to November.
November has a couple of significant anniversaries in my life, November 20th marks my brother David's birthday, and November 23rd marks the day he died. His short life, inspired me to become a special education teacher. He lived within the family until I was about 10 years old. You see, he was born with Down Syndrome and because of the era, my parents were told to place him in the State Institution, Pineland Hospital and Training Center at about age 6. He lived there until he was 13. He died there, the results of rheumatic fever.
As I pondered what these coaching sessions would look like, I decided I would use my coaching as a way to raise funds for an organization that helps families when their child is born with Down Syndrome. The Down Syndrome Association of Peterborough has been active since the early 60's. Here is a link to their website to see the variety of programs they offer as resources for both individuals and parents. downsyndromepeterborough.ca
November turned to December and a new plan. I'd announce this project in December to give people a chance to sign up starting January 1st through March 12, 2021.
This allows you to think about your "practice" for the New Year. Not your "resolution". There is no resolving to do something, there is getting busy and beginning. A coaching session, even for 20 minutes, is a great way to turn your attention and create an intention for what is really needed and then making it happen.
If coaching is new to you, here are some areas we could address:
Each session is 20 minutes. It is not a long time, but shift can happen!
I am using a pay-what-you-are-able model $27 to$700 for each 20 minute session (or any amount in between or beyond!)
50% of the fee will be donated to Down Syndrome Association of Peterborough
I will send you the calendar link to set up your coaching time after you get your ticket.
We will connect on the day scheduled. Bring a topic you would like to talk about, I will bring my curiosity and let's see what actualizes.
You may know someone who could benefit from being listened to. A "gift" of a coaching session is priceless.
I am really excited about celebrating my birthday this way. It's like giving out presents instead of getting them.
Yup I'm getting older but I'M NOT DONE YET!
Coaching, to improve your overall wellbeing, is committing to a healthier lifestyle. A commitment that will take a lot a dedication. But believe me, it will be worth it. My personal commitment is to provide you with accountability, understanding and support while accomplishing lasting growth. This is what life coaching is all about.
